Dream a little dream.....

Cathy Eller presents Mary Moose with the

product of her "DREAM".

Freddie and Cathy Eller are still retirement "newbies".  When they first retired they had a full plate.  Somewhere in the midst of children, grandchildren, church, board responsibilities and Freddie's mom being in declining health the dream of writing and publishing a series of children's books lived on.  When I first met Freddie and Cathy they just chuckled when I asked them what they planned to do in retirement--they were already doing it!  At that time they had no idea what was to come...

Since the kids and grandkids have moved away and Freddie's mother passed away Cathy has had time more time to pursue her lifelong dream of writing a children's book.  Inspired by her granddaughters, Jeepers Creepers, featuring Carnella Caterpillar, is a touching story about a Caterpillar who has special needs and a bug community who rallies to meet those needs.  Freddie, now Cathy's business manager, is nearly giddy when he talks about the book and how it has taken off.  They have already ordered over 250 books, 150 are already sold.  The book can be found at Amazon, Target and Barnes and Noble!  Cathy has several books signings and readings scheduled.

Freddie and Cathy encourage others to try something they have never done before.  They are as engaged and connected now as ever and encourage others (of all ages) to get in the game!  They inspire me every time I see them and I am no where near retirement!

In my role as a Financial Planner and President of Victory Wealth Management, Inc. I am blessed to live my dream.  My hope is that the Eller's story will somehow inspire you to...dream a little dream...and got for it!

We call it a GOD thing....

We are absolutely thrilled and beside ourselves!  On January 25, 2008
we will close on our purchase of "The Shinn House",
located on the corner of Highway 152 and Main Street in China Grove.
This is the future home of Victory Wealth Management, Inc.

After months of applying for driveway permits and attending zoning and
Town Council meetings we were able to obtain rezoning approval from the
Town of China Grove.  The residence had been the home of the
late Dr. and Mrs. Shinn and has been vacant for over 7 years.
When I first entered the home it was love at first sight-
I knew this was it...the future home of Victory.

It has been a long road from "the bank" to this gem
of a house located on the corner of the busiest intersection in China Grove.
There have been many tempting opportunities to move to larger cities however,
China Grove is right for me, my clients, my staff...for Victory.

A heartfelt "thank you" to all of you that have been my network of support and
more importantly my friends over the last ten years.
I am looking forward to the future with great enthusiam and anticipation!

To say we are proud of our son would be an understatement!
Travis graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC
on Mother's Day.  He graduated with a double major in 4 years.
Travis spent the majority of his college career on the Dean's List and
was very pleased with his final 3.37 gpa.
We especially loved his graduation cap (pictured below)!
Travis begins his new career as an underwriter in Greensboro on July 7.  Bragging...you bet!

I would like for you to meet my friend, Colleen Fesperman.  All of us can use a little inspiration now and then and Colleen is truly inspirational.  Colleen is 77 years young and runs circles around most folks 20 years younger!

She recently told me, "I haven't had a chance to stop" and "I do not have time to be bored".  So, with a twinkle in her eye and a spring in her step off she goes to....

...Dance with the Lady Liners at an area Nursing Home or Hospital
...Work in her yard.  She loves flowers.  She says, "it is therapy to get busy trying to keep my yard and flowers looking good.  God's world is so beautiful and we should take care of it!"
---Spend time with her grandchildren who she "is so proud of. They bring so much joy to my life"
....Circle at Church, YMCA and Senior Citizens Group...she especially enjoys the day trips!

There is a recurring theme you notice when talking with Colleen.  She is a "Thankful Woman".  Grateful for her many blessings.

I am inspired... to stay as active I can for as long as I can and, more importantly, to remain an eternally "Thankful Woman".
